With their 5-1 victory over Anaheim last night the Capitals won their eighth consecutive game, a feat last accomplished by this organization in March of 1989. That’s bypassing two full decades to get back to. As winter was transitioning to spring then, there is a strong likelihood that I wore a navy blue Members Only jacket to one or two of those home wins at Capital Centre during that streak. But of greater interest about that marvelous March: the Caps outscored their opponents 43-17

I'm pretty sure that most of you out there in interweb land assume that the only way to score a goal on a header, only applies to soccer.Well, Keith Tkachuk of the St Louis Blues in this highlight against the Chicago Blackhawks proved that even NHL players can score a goal using their head.Ouch, he clearly earned that goal.

After falling to Columbus 4-2 Monday, the Blues continued their road trip against the Montreal Canadiens. After giving up another exasperating late 3rd period goal, the Blues won 4-3 on an OT goal from Andy McDonald.
